One of the top moments of the match came when Hrithik Shokeen dismissed KKR skipper Nitish Rana and after that both were seen in a verbal argument with each other . Which didn't seem nice on this big stage ,both these players were fined after the game . But after that Venkatesh Iyer continued his attack and scored 104(51). Mumbai Indians vs Kolkata Knight Riders 2025: Team Insights

Mumbai Indians Team Insights:

Hardik Pandya (c) , Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Verma, Robin Minz, Ryan Rickleton, Shrijith K, Bevon Jacobs, Naman Dhir, Will Jacks, M Santner, Raj Bawa, Vighnesh Puthur, Corbin Bosch, Trent Boult, Karn Sharma, Deepak Chahar, Ashwani Kumar, Reece Topley, VS Penmetsa, Arjun Tendulkar, Mujeeb-ur-rahman, Jasprit Bumrah.

One of the best batting lineup if not the best in this season ,every batter is a match winner itself .Mumbai Indians had a similarly team last year as well but due to internal conflicts the team had poor run last year but this year they are a top contenders to lift the trophy for the 6th time .

Kolkata Knight Riders Team Insights:

Ajinkya Rahane(c) , Rinku Singh, Quinton De Kock, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, R Gurbaz, Rovman Powell, Manish Pandey, Luvnith Sisodia, Venkatesh Iyer, Anukul Roy, Moeen Ali, Ramandeep Singh, Andre Russell, Anrich Nortje, Vaibhav Arora , M Markande, Spencer Johnson, Harshit Rana, Sunil Narine , Varun Chakravarthy, Chetan Sakariya.

KKR had a decent auction and retentions.Lot of hopes were dependent on their retentions as they retained their core players but one set back they had is about their captain Shreyas Iyer, who they couldn't retain and buy back in auction as well. Their core group V Iyer, Andre Russell, Varun Chakravarthy, Sunil Narine will be playing for them again in this season. KKR will miss the services of Phil Salt, Shreyas Iyer and Gautam Gambhir as well.

KKR’s pace bowling can be a weakness for them as they don't have Mitchell Starc this season and a lot of things would rely on their opening pair like last year.
